The offers of the different certified service providers (CSPs) vary in price and service combinations. The features of the offered solutions may also differ. However, all offers are interoperable with other solutions and they are always in line with the quality standards of the ENX concept.
All CSPs are interconnected at the so-called 'ENX points of interconnection'. This means that you can reach all your partners within the ENX network, no matter which CSP they are connected to.
Therefore, we recommend to contact all our CSPs in order to have a variety of offers to choose from.
You are free to choose from all of our certified service providers (CSPs) that offer ENX accesses in your country.
Please contact them all and decide which offer fits your needs the best.

The certified service providers offer various access types:
1. symmetric point-to-point-connections (leased lines) based on frame relay, ATM and SDSL
2. asymmetric point-to-point-connections (leased lines) based on ADSL
3. ISDN dial-up connection
Within these access type classes you can choose between various service levels (depending on your demand for availability and throughput rate) and bandwidths: from 64kbit/s up to 155Mbit/s. Backup solutions, redundant lines and load balancing are additional features for highest availability requirements.
The bandwidth requirements of your access depend on the specific requirements of the applications you intend to use via ENX.
You should ask your first communications partner in order to get an impression of the bandwidth used.
Since ENX accesses are highly scalable you can start with a low bandwidth access and upgrade step by step according to the requirements.
There are two elements that have an impact on the time it takes to get connected to the ENX network
1. ENX registration (usually 1-5 business days)
2. Provision of the ENX access (usually 10-40 business days)
Once you have submitted our online application form you have to send or fax a stamped and signed print-out. As soon as we have received this document and verified the provided data you will receive an email including the "ENX registration number". Upon the reception of this number you are authorized as an "ENX user". The "ENX registration number" entitles you to solicit offers from our "certified service providers (CSPs)".
The timeframe between the placement of your order and the completion of your access (by the chosen CSP) is dependent on the access type. The process usually takes between 10 and 40 business days.
The technical requirements to get connected to the ENX network are low.
The service of the certified sercice providers already includes the router (CPE = customer premise equipment), the encryption hardware (IPSec router) and the keys (digital certificate).
It goes without saying that you have to set up the connection between the ENX access and your corporate network. Therefore, you have to re-configure your firewall in any case. Other requirements depend on the design of your corporate network and which user, work group, department or plant is supposed to use the access.
Upon the placing of your order the certified service provider of your choice will establish the connection to the ENX network by installing a separate access using a router and the IPSec hardware (in some cases both are combined in one device) on site.
In the so-called shared local-loop scenario the certified service provider integrates the ENX access into the existing corporate network (VPN) access (which our certified service providers also offer in their product portfolio). The two data streams are then logically separated using MPLS technology.

ENX Access as a Private MPLS Network Link:
If you are looking for an ENX access based on the private networks of our Certified Service Providers (CSPs), there is of course a dedicated ENX access from one of those CSPs required.
ENX Accesses with a Shared Local Loop:
If you have an MPLS port from one of our certified service providers (e.g. for your corporate network), it is possible to re-use it for the ENX access. We call that "shared local-loop". Please see FAQ 6.8. Does the certified service provider install a "physical" ENX access?.
ENX over Internet
If you intend to use an "ENX over Internet" solution offered for example by BCC and Open Systems, you can use your (already existing) company's Internet access. In this case, the availability of your ENX access is clearly determined by the availability of your existing Internet access.
Yes. If you have an MPLS port from one of our certified service providers (e.g. for your corporate network), it is possible to re-use it for the ENX access. We call that "shared local-loop". Please see FAQ 6.8. Does the certified service provider install a "physical" ENX access?.
You do not have to bother with the configuration of the ENX network. The complete configuration is included in the service.
No. The required configuration of a specific tunnel is put through only once by your certified service provider. After this you can use the tunnels without any changes in the configuration, even in parallel.
The ENX services are available over a wide range of access methods and bandwidths (e.g. Full-Backup/redundant solutions with load balancing). Therefore, service is scaleable to be adjusted to the specific transaction volumes of each ENX user.
